Sounds Interesting
15th anniversary
1987-2002
"Sounds Interesting" they said when asked to play at a wedding...
and life as a quartet took off.

The Sounds Interesting Quartet is comprised of Derek & Merri Williams, Anne Tupling and Rachael Calverley.
They are all classically trained musicians.
Derek conducts the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra and Nottingham Youth Orchestra and also teaches the violin at Nottingham High School.
Anne gained her first music degree at Nottingham University and her second at London University.
Merri teaches the viola and leads the viola section in the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra.
Rachael is a freelance professional 'cellist and leads the 'cello section of the Bardi Orchestra.

"It was a marvellous programme and I heard many complimentary comments from the audience. Everyone enjoyed the concert and you obviously did too!"
Phil Snelders, South Croxton Arts Festival
